February 26, 1926 - January 12, 2017

Alex Makar of Boyle, AB passed away at the age of 90 years. Alex is survived by his brother Peter (Mae) Makar, sisters, Pauline Hahn, Anne (Leonard) Lemay, Natalka Holonko, numerous nieces, nephews & friends. Alex is predeceased by his wife wife Amy Makar in 2007, mother Pearl Makar in 1979, father Fred Makar in 1978, sister Mary Rybicki in 2012, brother Mike Makar in 2008, brother’s in law Bill Rybicki in 1969, Ernie Hahn in 2001, Walter Holonko in 2007, nephew Gerald Rybicki in 1970

Funeral Services were held on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Prosvita Hall with Sam Anderson officiating and interment followed in the Spruce Valley Cemetery. 

Eulogist was Natalka Holonko

Pallbearers were Daryl Hahn, Dwayne Hahn, Dan Holonko, David Holonko, Neil Lemay, Russel Makar. 

In lieu of flowers donations to the Charity of one’s choice would be appreciated.
