On Saturday, August 13, 2016 Blaine La Rose of Caslan, AB passed away at the age of 65 years. Blaine is survived by his children Orian La Rose, Travis La Rose, Trina Blyan, Crystal La Rose, Tracey Blyan, Brandie (Aaron) Desjarlais, April (Wayne) Dean, Tyrel La Rose, Amanda (Clifford LaBiche) La Rose, Fred (Lauren Sinclair) La Rose, 35 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, mother of his children Jean Blyan, siblings Andrew La Rose, Ken La Rose, Jerry La Rose, Louis La Rose, Perry La Rose, Leah Heron, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  He is predeceased by sister Violet Stevens Pomphrey La Rose, brothers Henry La Rose, Larry La Rose, parents Grace and Edward La Rose.

A Wake was held on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Buffalo Lake Community Hall in Buffalo Lake.

Funeral Services were held on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Buffalo Lake Community Hall in Buffalo Lake with Pastor Joe Kuraitis officiating.

Cremation took place after the service.
