On Sunday, January 15, 2017 Ernest Laboucane of Owl River, AB, passed away at the age of 85 years. Ernest is survived by his wife of 56 years Arema Laboucane of Owl River, sons Lyle (Shauna) Laboucane of Edmonton, Darryle Laboucane of Owl River, Lorne (Sandra) Laboucane of Owl River, Murray Laboucane of Owl River, Wayne Laboucane of Lac La Biche Mission, Brian Laboucane of Owl River, sister Virginia Deschambeau of Big Bay, grandchildren Kathy, Brandon, Alexander, William, George, Matthew, Alicia, 3 great grandchildren Abigail, Everly, Hailey, numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Ernest is predeceased by grandchildren Leslie Paul Laboucane and Nigel Ernest Laboucane, parents Genevieve and George Laboucane, siblings Sam, Peter, Annie and Alvina.

Prayer Services were held on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at 8:30 PM at St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Lac La Biche with Deacon Ernie (E.J.) Sehn officiating

Funeral Services were held on Friday, January 20, 2017 at 11:00 AM at St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Lac La Biche with Father Trini Pinca & Deacon Ernie (E.J.) Sehn officiating and interment followed in the Willow Park Cemetery, Lac La Biche, AB.

Pallbearers were Brian Laboucane, Darryle Laboucane, Lorne Laboucane, Lyle Laboucane, Murray Laboucane, Wayne Laboucane.
