Jane Moore (Nee Hardwicke-Brown) (April 24, 1950 – March 13, 2017)

Jane was born in England, and moved to Canada at age 6. She excelled at skiing, riding, and school, graduating at the age of 15. The family that laughs together stays together, and Jane and her siblings exemplified that to this day. After obtaining her B.Ed., she taught in Australia for five years, and then started teaching at Dr. Swift Jr. High in Lac La Biche in 1980, and then as an Instructor at Portage College. She always claimed the students taught her much more than she taught them.

Jane and Ron were married in 1986, and Mathew, truly her pride and joy, was born in 1989. Whether Mathew was at school, the golf course, or university, Jane was constantly helping and encouraging him.

Jane’s path brought her to her Lord, and her Christian family, in not one, but three churches! Her baptism at the Evangelical Free Church was such a proud time for Jane. Her church family has been the source of her learning and everlasting friendships ever since.

Through both her life and recent illness, she greeted us, and her siblings, and every friend with grace, class, and especially that radiant smile. We are grateful that her path continues with our love and prayers.

Jane is survived by her loving husband of 30 years Ron, son Mathew (Madura), daughter Catherine (Tim), son Michael (Leanne and granddaughter Madilynn) brothers Jonathan, Adam (Colleen), Mungo (Barb), Justin (Barb), Quincey, and sister Pollyanna (Rod), mother in law Olive Moore of Ponoka, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins & friends. Jane is predeceased by her father Jon, her mother Diana, infant nephew John Paul, Father-in-law Ellis, and Sister-in-law Betty.

Funeral Services were held on Friday, March 17, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Evangelical Free Church in Lac La Biche with Pastor Emmanuel Chiwele officiating and interment followed in the Evangelical Free Church Cemetery Lac La Biche

Pallbearers were Lynne Bollinger, Jennifer Cadieux, Janet Chiwele, Nicole Eleniak , Susan Hau, Jodi Weening, Angie Werk, Lisa Wesley.

In lieu of flowers donations to "Palliative Care" c/o the W.J. Cadzow Health Centre "Ladies Auxiliary”Box 507 Lac La Biche, AB T0A 2C0 would be appreciated.
