On Friday, October 9, 2015 Larry Melnyk of Lac La Biche, AB passed away at the age of 43 years. Larry is survived by his loving wife of 25 years Lana Melnyk of Lac La Biche, sons Anthony Melnyk of Lac La Biche, Roman Melnyk (Shayla Bourassa) of Lac La Biche, granddaughter Kaylee Melnyk, parents Bill (Ilene) Melnyk of Edmonton, sisters  Sharon (Gilbert) Martens of Edmonton, Brenda (Larry) Schultz of Edmonton, Lisa (Michael) Mierau of Edmonton, mother in law Rose Galenza of Lac La Biche, brother in law Sidney Galenza of Lac La Biche, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins & friends, pet dog Biggie Melnyk. Larry is predeceased by his father in law Thomas Galenza.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Mission View Funeral Chapel in Lac La Biche with Paul Shaw officiating and cremation followed the service.

Following the service there was a celebration of life, luncheon and slide show at the Owl River Community Hall.

Honourary Pallbearers were Chris Martens, Gibert Martens, Jeff Martens, Mike Martens, Judah Mierau, Cory Shukaliak.

Pallbearers were Doug Armstrong, Jeremy Erban, Nick Janzen, Anthony Melnyk, Roman Melnyk, Mikeal Teeter.
