On Wednesday, February 1, 2017 Marianne Lawrie of Lac La Biche, AB passed away at the age of 79 years. Marianne is survived by her loving husband, Clint Lawrie of Lac La Biche, son Sheldon (Hannah) Lawrie of Edmonton, grandchildren, Peter, Eowyn, and Sinead of Edmonton, son Ryan Lawrie of Edmonton, brother Clifford (Mary) Brandt of Niverville MB, sister in-law, Mary Brandt of Vancouver BC, and sisters, Adina (John) Sawatsky of Steinbach MB, Frances (Alex) Hiebert of Winnipeg MB, Mabel Hiebert of Steinbach MB, Elma Brandt of Calgary, and Lillian (Abe) Friesen of White Rock BC, and numerous nieces and nephews. Marianne is predeceased by her parents Peter Brandt and Katherine Brandt, brother Reuben Brandt, brother in law Pete Hiebert, and nephew Clyde Hiebert.

Funeral Services were held on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Evangelical Free Church in Lac La Biche, with Pastor Emmanuel Chiwele officiating.

Honourary Pallbearers were Wilf Cardinal, Dexter Daikin, John Giesbrecht, Henry Hau, Dave Phillips, Phil Schalin.
