On Thursday, January 7, 2010, Miles James Maskalyk of Lac La Biche, AB passed away at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Edmonton at the age of 58.  Miles is survived by his loving wife of 23 years Brenda Robitaille of Lac La Biche, sons Dylan Maskalyk and Kayne Maskalyk of Lac La Biche, parents Michael & Katherine Maskalyk of Lac La Biche, brother Milton (Lucille) Maskalyk of Villeneuve, 2 nephews Dr. James Maskalyk of Toronto, Danny (Adrianne) Maskalyk of Spruce Grove, great niece Lucy Maskalyk, numerous nieces, nephews & friends, sisters in law Margaret Vallee of St. Lina, Alice Arsenault of Edmonton, Laurette Laurie of Fork Lake, Irene Greene of Seattle, Washington, Diane Laurie(Reg Luceyer) of Lashburn, SK, Marlene (Omer) Plaquin of Therien, Connie Ingham of Sooke, BC, brothers in law Peter Robitaille of St. Paul, Don (Dawn) Robitaille of St. Paul. Miles is predeceased by mother & father in law May & Pete Robitaille, sister in law Shirley Partman, brothers in law Luc Vallee, Roland Arsenault, Angus Laurie.

A memorial service was held on Tuesday, January 12, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the Evangelical Free Church, Lac La Biche, AB with Pat Murphy officiating.

Honourary pallbearers were Chris Jones, Bob Lemare, Marvin Mitchell, Harvey Cardinal, Gabe Legare, Leo Chapdelaine, Glen Yakimec.
