On Saturday, October 3, 2015 Murray Scharfenberg of Lac La Biche, AB passed away at the age of 60 years. Murray is survived by his loving wife of 25 years Lorna Scharfenberg of Lac La Biche, children Clifford (Pamela) Holmes, Ian (Salena Berndhart) Holmes, grandchildren Tiana Holmes, Melyne Holmes, Zane Schmyr, Seth Holmes, Kalob Holmes, parents Verna and Laddie Scharfenberg, sisters Sandy (Bill) Hanley, Sheila Quist, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Murray is predeceased by grandson Gage Holmes.

A Celebration of Life was held on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at 4:00 PM at the Arthur and Anita Cadieux Agriplex in Lac La Biche.

In lieu of flowers donations to the Stollery Children's Hospital, S.T.A.R.S. Air Ambulance or Ronald McDonald House would be appreciated.
