On Thursday, January 28, 2016 Rene Forest of Stony Plain, AB passed away at the age of 56 years. Rene is survived by his loving wife of 42 years Arlene Forest of Stony Plain, children Amy (Abudy) Fayad of Lac La Biche, Rene Jr. Forest of Stony Plain, grandchildren Jordan, Ahlam (Lammy), Medina & Jamal Fayad, Mya & Serenity Forest, mother Dora Vincent of Brantford, ON, siblings, Roger (Lynn) Forest of Montreal, Que, Ivan Forest of London, ON, Sylvie (Buster) Abbott of Brantford, ON, Daniel Forest of New Liskeard, ON, Serge Forest of New Liskeard, ON, Nicole Gabriel of New Liskeard, ON, Helen Vincent of New Liskeard, ON,  Therese Vincent of Penticton, BC, family pet Ginger, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins & friends. Rene is predeceased by his father Wilfred Forest.

A Wake was held on Sunday, January 31, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Kikino Community Centre in Kikino with Deacon Pat Murphy officiating.

Funeral Services were held on Monday, February 1, 2016 at 10:30 AM at Kikino Community Centre in Kikino with Deacon Pat Murphy officiating and interment followed in the Kikino Community Cemetery Kikino

Honourary Pallbearers were Kade Calliou, Kurt Calliou, Jean Paul Girard, Russell Grauman, Wyatt Mills.
