On Monday, January 16, 2017 Rene A. Cardinal of Lac La Biche, AB passed away at the age of 79 years. Rene is survived by his children Francis Jackson, Alvin Jackson, Theresa Stover, Diane (David) Ponicappo, Brian Cardinal, Lisa Cardinal, Valerie Cardinal, Karen Runningaround, Sharron Runningaround, Farron Runningaround, Arron Runningaround, Eugene Francis, brothers Raymond Howse, Ernest Howse, sister Francis Benson, numerous step children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Rene is predeceased by his sons Mitchel, Gerald, brothers Jimmy, Floyd, John, Emery, Gabe, sisters Linda, Lena, mother Mary Laraque, father Francis T. Cardinal.

A Wake was held on Sat & Sun, January 21 & 22, 2017 at 5:00 PM at the Maria Munroe Hall in Beaver Lake, AB.

Funeral Services were held on Monday, January 23, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the Maria Munroe Hall in Beaver Lake, AB, with Fr. Trini Pinca officiating and interment followed in the Beaver Lake Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Devon Boucher, Quentin Cardinal, Wayne Gladue, Leonard Jr. Jackson, Wade Lameman, David Ponicappo.
