My deepest sympathy to your family!
I was fortunate to meet Shannon on the rodeo/bullarama circuit in 2011. He was a very kind man. He was always joking and helping my son and nephew when they first started out riding. Shannon was the first one they looked for at the event if they knew he was there.
Shannon always had a smile that gave confidence to the boys.
His smile will be missed this year but they know he will be watching over them as Shannon did love to ride.
They as well send their condolences!

I cannot begin to express our sadness upon learning of your loss. Shannon was a remarkable young man & I can't help but remember my mom's fondness for him when she taught him in Jr High...while she loved her students, it was only rarely that she singled one out at home...he was one of the rare ones. My fondest memory was of him playing with the little ones at Beavers in Craigend Hall...he had a soft & kind heart.
I can only think to offer these words in the hope that they bring you some small comfort at this difficult time: "I know for certain that we never lose the people we love, even to death. They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make. Their love leaves an indelible imprint in our memories. We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared their love. ~Leo Buscaglia~"

My heart still aches knowing one of my deeply true friends is gone. I know he's in a better place but the selfish part of me wants him beside me instead. My love for him will always continue to grow.

We would just like to express our sadness for the family of Shannon. We feel that it is so unfortunate that a young man, a young Shannon did not get to experience all of life's gifts that come to us as we grow older. We all too often take these gifts for granted.
