On Wednesday, July 22, 2009 Mr. Steve Bakay of Lac La Biche, AB passed away at the age of 68 years. Steve is survived by his loving wife of 45 years Lilly Bakay of Lac La Biche, children Gwen (Bobby) Manca of Fort Saskatchewan, Holly (Robert) Doan of Okotoks, Curtis (Amanda) Bakay of Wabamun, grandchildren Zachary, Jeremy & Chassidy Manca, Cameron & Austin Doan, Tristian Bakay, sisters Violet Macor of Lac La Biche, Loveth (John) Beniuk of Lac La Biche, Olga (John) Chittick of Gibsons, BC,  numerous nieces, nephews & friends. Steve is predeceased by his parents Mateusz Bakay in 1978 & Anna Bakay in 2004, brother in law Albert Macor in 2002, father in law Bill Ratzoy in 1991, mother in law Annie Ratzoy in 1981.

Public visitation was held on Friday, July 24, 2009 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Mission View Funeral Chapel, Lac La Biche, AB

Funeral Services were held on Saturday, July 25, 2009 at 10:00 AM at St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Lac La Biche with Father Michael Domaradz officiating and interment followed in the Willow Park Cemetery Lac La Biche, AB
