Sharon Rose Duchnych

With cherished memories for a life well lived, the family of Sharon Rose Duchnych of Edmonton, AB is deeply saddened to announce the unexpected passing of their beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunty on Monday, April 8, 2024 at the age of 71 years.

Leaving to mourn with cherished memories is Sharon's devoted husband of 39 years: Joseph Gloux; children: Tracy Fredrickson (Adam Court), Trevor (Sarah) Duchnych, Kevin Duchnych, Dan (Jeanette) Dover, Bob Gloux (Patricia Iverach), Glenn (Monique) Gloux, Sandy Gloux, Wendy (Allan) O'Brien; grandchildren: Alicia, Ethan, Makena, Lucas; 14 step grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; brothers: Eugene (Marie) Uganecz, Miles Uganecz (Shauna Hannin), Gordon (Lorelei) Uganecz; sisters: Donna Lamarre, Darlene Uganecz; brother-in-law: Johnny O'Hara; special cousin who was like a brother: Bob (Marlene) Shukaliak; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Sharon was predeceased by her parents: David & Maria Uganecz; brother-in-law: Bob Lamarre.

Visitation, Friday, April 12, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., Mission View Funeral Chapel, Lac La Biche, AB.

Funeral Service, Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 11:00 a.m., All Saints Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Lac La Biche, AB. Pallbearers: Allan O'Brien, Brandon O'Brien, Ethan Fredrickson, Rod Uganecz, David Uganecz, Kevin MacArthur. Honorary pallbearers: Lucas Duchnych & Kevin Rowland.  Final Resting Place, Hylo Cemetery, Hylo, AB.
