Jean Lachowich

On October 23, 2018, Jean Lachowich of Rich Lake passed away at the age of 87 years.  She will be forever in the hearts of her children: Pat (Ron) Kwasnycia, Julie (Eric) Tegg, William (Pauline Richard), Erni (Ken) O’Hara, Nick, Adrien (Sarah Folvik); 12 grandchildren: Steven (Shannon Wolodko) & Bradley (Michelle Noppers) Kwasnycia; Kristi & Jeffery (Nicole) Tegg; Chelsea (Gerry) Webster & Curtis (Kayla Yaremchuk) Lachowich; Kendall (Brady) Mills, Shea O’Hara & Amber (Cory) Kurylo; Danyelle & Jordynn Lachowich; Lindsay Folvik; and 7 great-grandchildren: Peyton & Brooke Kwasnycia; Jacob & Courtney Kwasnycia; Avery Mills; Ryder & Alexa Kurylo.  She will also be remembered by her sister Josephine (Peter) VanderPyl, brothers Ed (Georgette) Nowicki and Mike (Ann) Nowicki; brother-in-law, Ernest Lachowich; sisters-in-law, Stella Scott and Mary (Al) Tymko; as well as many other relatives and friends. Jean was predeceased by her husband John, infant son Daniel, parents Peter & Anna Nowicki and brother Zigmund.

The family wishes to thank the doctors and staff at the William J. Cadzow Health Centre in Lac La Biche for the care they provided to Jean.

A Funeral Service was held on Monday, October 29, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church (10303 Churchill Drive) in Lac La Biche, AB with Reverend Don Bodnar officiating.  Interment followed at the Protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary Cemetery at Craigend, AB.

Honourary Pallbearers were Helen Karpyshyn, George Swstelnicki, Ernie Desjarlais, Linda Desjarlais.

Pallbearers were Bradley Kwasnycia, Steven Kwasnycia, Curtis Lachowich, Gary Lachowich, Shea O'Hara, Jeffery Tegg.
