Lillian Marie Lewiski

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Mother, Wife, and Grandmother Lillian Marie (Gauthier) Lewiski on May 12th, 2018, at the age of 80 years. She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, William Lewiski of Lac La Biche. Her children, Carol (Rene) Bostelaar of Sherwood Park, Karen Lewiski of Lac La Biche, Rodney Lewiski of Lac La Biche and Liana Lewiski of Edmonton. Grandchildren, Shane Lewiski of Lac La Biche, Sarah (Ryan) Lewiski of Vancouver, BC, Garnet Lewiski-McQuaid of Lac La Biche, Thea (Ryan) McLeod of
Sherwood Park and Garrett Bostelaar of Edmonton. She is also survived by her siblings Alcid Gauthier (Margaret), Vina Lindquist, John (Helen) Gauthier, Regina (Jack) Ledger, Noe (Cheri) Gauthier, Roy (Fern) Gauthier. Predeceased by her son Glen Lewiski, daughter Joan Lewiski, parents Alma and Sinclair Gauthier, parents in law Maria and Peter Lewiski, brothers Edmond Gauthier, Emile Gauthier. She also leaves to mourn numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Prayer Service was held on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at 7:45 PM at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Lac La Biche, AB with Father Aureus Manjares officiating.

A Celebration of Life was held on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at 11:00 AM at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Lac La Biche, AB with Father Aureus Manjares officiating. Interment followed  in the Protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary Cemetery, Craigend, AB. Lunch followed at the Craigend Seniors Center. Cremation has taken place.

Honourary Pallbearers were Thea (Bostelaar) McLeod, Garrett Bostelaar, Noe Gauthier, Sarah Lewiski, Shane Lewiski, Garnet Lewiski-McQuaid.

In lieu of flowers donations to the Haying in the 30's (Cancer Support) would be appreciated.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Lac Alta Lodge, William J. Cadzow Hospital, and Dr. Handre deRidder for making her comfortable.
