Sine Ameen Abougoush

 On Saturday, January 12, 2019 Sine Ameen Abougoush of Lac La Biche, AB passed away at the age of 60, with his family at his side Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at 12:30 PM at the Al Kareem Mosque in Lac La Biche. Interment to follow in the Willow Park Cemetery, Lac La Biche, AB. A luncheon will be held at the Devon Room, Bold Center, 8702 - 91 Avenue.

Sine is survived by his loving wife of five years, Esmat Sleiman, seven doting sisters, Asma (Hajar) Haymour, Osima (Sine) Ghutmy, Helen Abougoush, Hoda (Jim) Amirie, Nadia Abougoush, Shadia (Earle) Amblie, Riya Abougoush, nieces and nephews who adored him, Amalle Haymour, Ali Ghutmy, Omer Ghutmy, Theyab Haimour, Ameen Haimour, Jannan Haimour, Hamad Amirie, Ameen Amirie, Jamal Amblie, Adam Amblie, and several great nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his father Ameen in 1981 and mother Zakia in 2012.

Sine was born and raised in Lac La Biche as the only son of eight children. During his early years he worked alongside his parents and sisters on the family mink ranch. He later pursued Information Technology education, which led him to a long career at Portage College. Sine was known for his quiet and kind nature, love of fishing and gardening, commitment to his family, and adventures throughout Canada as he showcased the nation to his wife. He was loved and respected by many, which was demonstrated by numerous people who visited him while he was hospitalized during his illness.
