It is with great sadness that the family of Derek Craig Scherbakov of Lac La Biche, Alberta passed away on May 15, 2024, at the age of 35 years.
Derek is survived by his daughter: Kayde Elizabeth Hamelin Scherbakov (Kalyn); mother: Irina (Adrian) Scherbakov; father: Kerry Hopwood; sisters: Kerrina (Dwayne) Scherbakov, Caitlin (Robert) MacDonald, Keasha-Mae Cardinal; brothers: Tyrell Cardinal, Ryan MacDonald, Nicholas Cardinal; nephew: Zale MacDonald; as well numerous friends and family members.
Derek was predeceased by Bradley Hopwood, Mae Ann Kubasek, Larry Kubasek, Roger Hopwood, Leslie Hopwood, and both maternal grandparents.
Public viewing: Friday, May 24, 2024, 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Mission View Funeral Chapel, Lac La Biche, Alberta.
Funeral service: Saturday, May 25, 2024, 11:00 a.m., Evangelical Free Church, Lac La Biche, Alberta.
