Diane Marie Hamelin

On Sunday, May 22, 2022 Diane Marie Hamelin of Lac La Biche, Alberta passed away at the age of 76 years.

Diane will be forever remembered and loved by her husband of 59 years: Joe Hamelin; children: Judy (Jim) Coote, Joanne (Don) Hahn, Joey (Pauline) Hamelin; grandchildren: Evan Coote, Alana (Kale) Trygg, Christopher Hamelin, Matthew Hamelin; great granddaughter: Sarah Trygg; mother: Ernestine Leitner; brothers: Joe Leitner, John Leitner; sisters: Geraldine Goodwin, Peggy Nethercut, Audrey Leitner, Lisa Leitner; as well as her siblings’ spouses, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Diane was predeceased by her mother: Florence Ladouceur; father: Frank Leitner; brothers: David Leitner and Ronald Leitner.

The family would like to thank the Acute Care staff at William J. Cadzow – Lac La Biche Health Care Centre and the Palliative Care staff at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Edmonton for being so compassionate and caring in Diane’s last days. They will be forever grateful.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, June 6, 2022 at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church, Lac La Biche, with Fr. Anselmo Landoy officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in memory of Diane.
