The family of Helen Stuparyk of Lac La Biche, Alberta, sadly announce her passing on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at the age of 81 years.

Her greatest passion was her family; she was the heartbeat of every gathering and the steady hand guiding those she loved. Her faith was her compass, and she spent countless hours serving her church community, always the first to lend a hand or share a prayer.

A true lover of the simple joys, she found peace in God’s creation. Whether she was out in the quiet of the woods blueberry picking, or taking a long afternoon drive to see where the road might lead, she cherished every moment spent outdoors. Some of her happiest times were spent “sitting around the tire,” sharing stories and laughter by the warmth of a fire.

She had a whimsical spirit that came alive during the holidays. She adored the glow of Christmas lights and anything that glittered, believing that a little bit of sparkle made the world a better place.

Though she has gone home to be with her Savior, her memory will continue to shine in the hearts of her family and friends—bright, beautiful, and forever sparkling.

Helen is lovingly remembered by her children: Carol (John) Klooster, Coreena (Barry) Werner, Coleen (Claude) Plamondon, Crystal (Brad) Boychuk, Curtis (Angie) Stuparyk; grandchildren: Jonathan (Roxanne) Werner, Ryan Worby, Joshua Klooster, Kayla (Joseph) Soluri, Kelsea (Christopher) Gaudet, Kylie (Curtis) Lafreniere, Miranda (Jayden) Barna, Kristopher (Erin) Boychuk, Siara (Karson) Stuparyk, Jasmine (Jeremy) Stuparyk, Chanel Klooster; great grandchildren: Bentley, Aubrielle, Paisley, Buckley, Eden, Maverick, Declan, Violet, Elowen, Ember; brother: Walter (Marcelle) Maki; sister: Edna Bereza; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws & friends.

Helen is predeceased by her husband of 40 years, Tom Stuparyk; parents: Walter & Ida Maki; sister: Aileen Yurdiga; brothers-in-law: John Yurdiga, Steve Bereza; granddaughters: Tamara Boychuk, Melanie Worby.

Funeral Service, Friday, March 13, 2026 at 1:00 p.m., Triumphant Life Centre, Lac La Biche, Alberta with Pastor Brad Boychuk officiating.

Pallbearers: Kristopher Boychuk, Joseph Soluri, Christopher Gaudet, Jayden Barna, Curtis Lafreniere, Joshua Klooster.

Honorary Pallbearers: Jonathan Werner, Ryan Worby, Karson Cardinal, Jeremy Stuparyk.

Final Resting Place, Willow Park Cemetery, Lac La Biche, Alberta.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made in memory of Helen to the funeral home, to help cover the funeral expenses.
