On Sunday, May 19, 2024, Henry Pohranychny, husband, father, grandfather, and brother passed away peacefully at the age of 88. Henry will forever be remembered by his son Dwayne (Gaylene), grandsons Logan and Brennan and his son-in-law Victor and grandsons Noah and Mateo. He is survived by his brother Dennis (Virginia) sisters-in-law Rose Wowk, Sophie Chwedoruk and Annie Nowicki. Henry was predeceased by his wife Victoria, daughter Lori, parents Walter and Helen, brother Marshall, father and mother-in-law Stefan and Nastasia Paskar, sisters-in-law Jennie (Walter) Korethoski and Mary (Peter) Shipka, brothers-in-law, William Paskar, John Paskar, John Wowk, Joseph Chwedoruk, and Michael Nowicki. Henry will also be forever remembered by numerous family members and friends.
Funeral will be held on Saturday, May 25 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 6103-172 Street NW, Edmonton.
Interment will follow at Rosehill Cemetery, 1605-141 Street SW, Edmonton.
There will be a drop in visitation on Friday, May 24 from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. at Pointe West Cremation & Funeral Service, 15305-112 Avenue NW, Edmonton.

The family would like to thank the staff at the U of A Hospital for the care they provided Henry over the last 3 months as well as his homecare givers over the years.
