With heavy hearts, the family of Jean-Paul (JP) Gauthier of Bon Accord, formerly of Plamondon, announces his peaceful passing in Edmonton on Monday, May 11, 2026, at the age of 82 years.
JP is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Aline Gauthier; his children, Pierre Gauthier (Lancia), Kathleen Gauthier (Sheldon), and Gisele Weiers; his grandchildren, Delainah (Jakob) Weiers, Aerin Gauthier, Kennedy Gauthier, Korbin (Paige) Gauthier, and Natalie Wessing; and his great-grandchildren, Wrenley MacMillan and Kayce Gauthier.
He is also survived by his brother, Romeo (Louise) Gauthier; his sisters, Denise Boulanger, Simone (Bert) Cadieux, and Leona (Dale) Crossland; his sisters-in-law, Pauline (Gilles) Boisvert, Jeannine Bouffard-Lemire, Monique (Fern) Bouvier, Mimi Lemay, and Monique Morin; as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives, and dear friends.
JP was predeceased by his first wife, Hannah Grant; his parents, Albey and Yvonne Gauthier; his baby sister, Denise; his brother, Eugene Gauthier; his sister-in-law, Rachel Gauthier; his brother-in-law, Charlie Boulanger; his father- and mother-in-law; as well as many brothers and sisters-in-law.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 18, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Isidore Parish in Plamondon, Alberta, with burial at St. Philip Catholic Cemetery in Atmore, Alberta.
Pallbearers are Joey Lemay, Jakob Dickson, Claude Bouffard, Korbin Gauthier, Gilbert Boulanger, and Ronald Cadieux.
Honorary Pallbearers are Daniel Crossland, Jason Gauthier, Trevor Gauthier, Calvin Crossland, Tyler Crossland, Michel Gauthier, Richard Gauthier, and Ryan Crossland.
