Jean Therou

On March 4, 2025, Mrs. Jean Therou of Lac La Biche passed away at the age of 77 years. Jean is survived by her sons Darrel Therou and Stacey St. Jean, David and Carissa Therou; granddaughters: Norah Therou and Diem Therou; her sister: Mary Lee; sisters-in-law Eva Veillette, Claudia Theroux; brother-in-law: Fred (Marylou) Theroux; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and their families.

She was predeceased by her husband Roland (Tex) Therou; parents: Peter and Eliza; brother, Tony Rossi and his wife Eileen; twin brother: John Rossi; brother: Victor (Lena) Rossi; sister-in-law: Irene (Mike) Bobocel; brothers-in-law: Gordon Lee, Ivan Theroux and Denis Therou; as well as Tex’s parents Camille Therou and Elizabeth (Isabelle) Pare.

Jean was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She avoided being in the spotlight whenever possible but helped so many quietly behind the scenes in such meaningful ways. She had a strong work ethic and was very proud of her family. She believed in being grateful and taking care of things that you have. She was tender hearted, strong willed, and protective of those she loved. We are going to miss her immensely.

Memorial Service will be held at St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Lac La Biche, Alberta, Saturday, March 15, 2025 at 10:00 a.m.

Inurnment to follow at the Lac La Biche Mission Cemetery, Lac La Biche, Alberta.

The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to the acute care and long-term staff for the care and compassion that she received.
