Laurette Laurie

It is with cherished memories and love in their hearts that the family of Laurette Ernestine Laurie of Fork Lake, Alberta announce her peaceful passing on November 15, 2021 at the age of 84 years.

Laurette was loved by everyone who knew her. She enjoyed playing crib, watching curling and baseball, traveling, driving, cooking and baking. If she knew you were coming for a visit there would always be fresh baked goods awaiting your arrival. She will be truly missed by many. 

Laurette is lovingly survived by her children: Ron (Brian), Carrie, Terra (Leo), Cindy (Alvin), Darrell (Lek), Melissa (Tom); 18 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; sisters: Alice, Irene, Diane, Marlene, Brenda; brothers: Peter, Donnie; her loyal companion: Daisy; as well as numerous: nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Laurette was predeceased by her husband: Angus Laurie; parents: May & Come Robitaille; granddaughter: Cyla; sisters: Margaret, Shirley, Connie.

Due to current on-going restrictions, a private family service will be held by invitation only at the St. Jean de Brebeuf Catholic Church in Mallaig, Alberta.

A celebration of Laurette’s life will be held in the spring when everyone is able to gather together.
