Makboley Fyith Obituary

Indeed, to Allah we belong, and to Him we shall return.

It is with great sorrow that we announce the recent passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great, great grandmother to all, the pillar of the Fyith family El Hajji Makboley Fyith,  Imm Ahmed Boo Nassouh.

Born in Kherbet Rouha, Lebanon on February 16, 1926, she left this world on February 4, 2020, surrounded by her loving family in Lac La Biche, Alberta.

Upon immigrating to Canada in March of 1963, she settled her heritage home with her beloved husband of 68 years, Almarhoum Mohammed Ahmed Fyith under the landmark of Lac La Biche, raising a family of six sons and three proud daughters. The water tower will forever mark her legacy where she rooted her family tree and continuously growing family. She opened her home to all who knocked on her door.

She is survived by her loving children Hadia Fayad, Ahmed and Ghallia Fayad, Nassouh and Fatima Fayad, AbdulRahman and Zakia Fayad, AbdulLatif and Mariam Fayad, Abdullah and Nohad Fayad, Mona Fayad, Heleme Fyith and Michael McArthur, and Badry Fyith. She was predeceased by her husband El Hajj Mohammed Ahmed Fyith in January of 2011.  A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at the Al Kareem Mosque at 12:30 pm - Duhr prayer and interment to follow at the Willow Park Cemetery, Lac La Biche, AB.  A light lunch will be served at the Devon Room at the Bold Centre after the burial.

We would like to express our sincere thanks to our family and friends for their generosity, compassion, and support, as well as Mission View Funeral Chapel Ltd. (Derrick & Nola Kruk), and Imam  Muhammad AbdelWahab for the beautiful service. Her legacy will forever pave the way for her 200 (and counting) grandchildren who look up to her efforts as one of the first Lebanese pioneers of Lac La Biche.  . “Inna lillahi Wa innailaihi Rajioon.” (Indeed to Him we belong and surely unto Allah is our return)
