Maria "Mary" Stella Ross( née Sottile)

The family of Maria “Mary” Stella Ross (née Sottile) of Lac La Biche, Alberta, formerly a long term resident of Lively, Ontario are saddened to announce her peaceful passing on April 30, 2024 at the age of 98 years.

Born in Coniston, Ontario, Maria will be lovingly remembered by her children: Steven (Sarah) Ross, Barbara (Laurier) Bourassa, Lorlie (Keith) Watkins, Roxanne (Mark) Krizan; grandchildren: Creighton (Shannon) Ross,Daisy (Roberto) Dubon, Andre (Chelsey) Bourassa, Eric Watkins, Amanda (Mathieu) Poole, Angella (Christopher) Watkins, Victoria Watkins; great grandchildren: Coralina Dubon, Carmella Dubon, Roman Ross, Ezra Bourassa; brothers: Philip Sottile, Frank (Rachel) Sottile, Tony Sottile; sisters: Carmel McDonald, Anna (Angelo) Borsato; generations of nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly and they will love her always.

Maria was predeceased by her loving husband: William Ross; parents: Salvatore “Sam” and Rosa Sottile; in-laws: William Sr. and Mary Ross; sisters: Eleanor Beaton,Josephine “Josie” Archibald,Constance “Connie” Sottile; sisters-in-law: Doris Ross, Evelyn Ross, Doreen Ross-Johnson, Margaret “Peggy” Sottile, Rosealma “Rose” Sottile; brothers-in-law: Albert “Jimmy” Ross, Joseph Posocco, William “Bill” Johnson, Don Archibald, Mack Ross, David Ross, Gregory Beaton, Ian McDonald; nephews: Michael McDonald, Umberto “Bert” Borsato, John Terrick and numerous lifelong friends.   

Funeral Service will be Thursday, May 16, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. at the St. Catherines Catholic Church, Lac La Biche, Alberta.

Cremation has taken place.

Honorary Pallbearers: All her friends and family.

Interment to be held at a later date.
