Mark Stephen Froehler

On July 16, 2021, Mark Stephen Froehler of Lac La Biche, Alberta passed away after a valiant 22 year journey with Multiple Myeloma at the age of 64 years.

Mark is lovingly survived by his wife of 26 years: Carrie (nee McDonald) Froehler; sons: Trevor Froehler, Ryan (Rhonda) Froehler; daughters: Ashley (Christopher) Kilmer, Kelsey (Mark) Froehler; grandchildren: Everett Kilmer, Leelou Froehler, Ava Froehler; mother: Beryl Froehler; brothers: Tim (Hélène) Froehler, Jeff (Melannee) Froehler, Rod Froehler, Brad (Steph) Froehler; sister: Carina (Hank) Hanson; father-in-law: Keith (Irma) McDonald; sister-in-law: Robbie Richard; brother-in-law: Murray (Natasha) McDonald; nieces and nephews: Rachelle, Mitch (Madison), Chantal (Taryn), Janelle (Godchild), Randi (Brandon), Shea, Barrett, Amy (Sydney), Meg, Madison, Jack, Hailey (Mike), Jake, Ben (Andrea), Laura, Paul, Taylor, Spencer, Madison; great nephews and nieces: Easton, Nixon, Brynlee, Remy, Tatum, Teighan, Kai, Enzo, Mya, Sadie, Sequoia; Godchildren: Christopher Dempsey & Andrew Davis.

Mark was predeceased by his father: Stanley Froehler; mother-in-law: Lorna McDonald; Uncle: Larry Brekko.

He will be greatly missed and remembered as a loving son, husband, father, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great uncle, friend, cousin and most recently granddad.

A Catholic Mass will be held in Mark’s memory on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 11:00 am, St. Catherine’s Catholic Church, 10303 Churchill Drive, Lac La Biche with Father Aureus Manjeres officiating.

A Celebration of Life and hot meal will be served at 12:30 pm, Field House #1, Bold Centre, 8702 91 Ave, Lac La Biche, AB following the Catholic Mass.

In lieu of donations, a scholarship towards environmental studies at Portage College will be established in memory of Mark. Donations may be sent to Portage College – Awards Office, re: Environmental Studies in memory of Mark Froehler at Box 417, Lac La Biche, Alberta, T0A 2C0.
