Mary Shipka

On Thursday, June 10, 2021 Mary Shipka of Lac La Biche, AB passed away at the age of 90 years. Mary is survived by her daughter: Sharon Hutchinson; grandsons: Byron (Heidi) Hutchinson & Bradley (Natalie) Hutchinson; great grandchildren: Brooklynn & Mercedes; daughter: Kathy (Tony) Marczak; granddaughters: Kaitlin & Naomi; great grandchildren: Michael, Charlee & Hazel; special friend: Helen Rayment (3rd daughter); special pet: Chi Chi; sisters: Rose Wowk, Sophie Chwedoruk, Annie (Mike) Nowicki; brother in law: Henry Pohranychny; sister in law: Doris Shipka; numerous nieces, nephews, & friends.

Mary is predeceased by her husband: Peter Shipka; parents: Steve & Nestacia Paskar; son in law: Edward Hutchinson; sisters: Jennie & Victoria; brothers: William & John; brothers in law: Walter, John, Joe & Tom, as well as nieces & nephews.

Public visitation on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm, Mission View Funeral Chapel.

Private Family Funeral Service on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at 10:30 am at St. Demetrius Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Craigend, AB with Rev. Fr. Dr. Roman Shiyan officiating.

Interment will follow in the St. Demetrius Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery, Craigend, AB.
