Maureen McKay

The family of Maureen McKay of Lac La Biche, Alberta, announces that their beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at the age of 73 years.

Leaving to mourn with cherished memories are her devoted children: Kiely (Amena) McKay, Kirk (Amy) McKay, Kolby McKay, Kristie (Dylan) Straus; treasured grandchildren: Amri, Kade, Krew, Jakob, Isla, Irelyn, Lincoln; as well as loved by many in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends.

She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Kenneth McKay; parents: Patrick & Leona McKevitt; sister: Patsy Edgar; brothers: Tom McKevitt, Gerard McKevitt.

A private family service will take place at a later date with her final resting place at Willow Park Cemetery, Lac La Biche, Alberta.
