Peter Ponich

It is with great sadness and loving memories that the family of Peter Ponich of Lac La Biche, Alberta, announce his passing on Thursday, August 4, 2022 at the age of 82 years.

Peter is lovingly survived by his devoted wife of 41 years: Doreen; children: Corrinna Ponich-Burdek, Stephanie Leitch, Marissa Ponich (Andrew), Shaun Kumpula (Kelley); grandchildren: Aaron (Morgan), Ryan, Emily (James), Tyler, Jared (Allyssa); great grandchildren: Toren, Aislyn, Alina, Thomas, Aurora; brother: Paul (Diana); sister: Olga; brother in law: Phil Kinnunen; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Peter was predeceased by his parents: Eva and William Ponich; sisters Kay (Tom) Murowchuk, Polly Warawa.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2022 at 11:00am at Lac La Biche Heritage Centre in Lac La Biche, AB with lunch to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Kidney Foundation in memory of Peter.
