Robert William Boucher died unexpectedly on April 5, 2020 at the age of 40 years.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Joanne, and the center of his heart, his daughter Jenica. He was born on November 13, 1979 to Robert Boucher Sr. and Emilene Boucher in Lac La Biche, Alberta. He lost both parents at a young age and was then raised by Gerald Ladouceur and Florence Boucher. Lovingly known as “Scotty” to his family and “Bobby” to his rig friends, he leaves behind many who will miss him. Robert was a hard worker and carried this into his adult life. In December 1999, Robert married Joanne Anderson and they had his only child, Jenica. Jenica is his pride and joy. Everything he accomplished as a husband and as a father was done to ensure “his girls” Joanne & Jenica were being taken care of. Robert worked the oil field in many jobs, but his job as a motorman and then Derrick hand was where he found his niche. For 15 years he worked for Precision Drilling all over Alberta and into B.C. His “brothers” on the rigs were the guys he felt closest to. He always said his greatest accomplishments were his marriage and his daughter Jenica, who is finishing her first year of University. Father and daughter were extremely close and they were inseparable when she was home from school. We always called her his “baby” and he had to know when she was going to call. His favourite thing to do was to surf the internet and search for his dream truck, and maybe a quad or two for him and Jenica. Robert’s life was not a simple or easy one and the challenges he faced only made him more determined to see his daughter succeed. He never gave up and he fought hard to keep the life he had. His dream is for Jenica to finish her education and become a lawyer.
With so many hopes and dreams, Robert was taken from us much too soon.
My love has become an angel and He will forever be in our hearts and minds.
A Celebration of Roberts Life will take place at a later date.
