On Sunday, August 22, 2021 Robert “Rob” Aldred of Lac La Biche, Alberta passed away unexpectedly in Fort McMurray, Alberta at the age of 69 years.
Rob will be sadly missed by his wife of 28 years, Tina Aldred, his children Tim Aldred (Candice), Sara Aldred, grandchildren, Liam, Colton, and Ryleigh. Rob is survived by his brothers, Jim Aldred, Pat Aldred (Terri) as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Rob was predeceased by his parents Lincoln & Marjorie Aldred, brother Doug Aldred, father-in-law and hunting partner Peter LaBoucane, brother-in-law Jerry LaBoucane.
Rob was born in Calgary on June 13, 1952 and was the third son of Linc & Midge. He attended school in Calgary and then began his lifelong journey of working in camps, which he did for 49 years. He made many friends during his time at camps which took him all over Alberta, BC, Northwest Territories, Yukon, and the United States. His last few years, he worked for Alberta Agriculture & Forestry where he was a camp supervisor at Leismer Fire Base. His stories and life advice that he gave to the fire crews were enjoyed and shared many times.
Rob’s children and grandchildren were the light of his life and he always looked forward to the visits, either outside by the fire or on the couch watching a movie.
As per Rob’s request no service will be held. If desired memorial donations can be sent to Breathe the Lung Association, https://www.lung.ca/get-involved/donate/make-general-donation/online-donate-form
