Rorey Cardinal

Leaving behind his family to mourn, Rorey Allan Cardinal, left this world on March 14, 2026, in Kikino, Alberta, at the age of 35 years young.

He was a truly patient and gentle soul. Rorey was the ultimate outdoorsman, happiest when he was quadding through the bush or listening to his favourite music under the open sky. Rorey was a devoted father, boyfriend, son, grandson, cousin, nephew and a beloved uncle who lived for his family. Known for his outgoing personality, he truly loved everyone he met. His warmth and easy-going nature made the world a brighter place for all who knew him. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered in every song and every sunrise with memories of his infectious smile.

With cherished memories, he leaves his children: Jaxxon Seeseequon (Kaylee Seeseequon), Rogen Cardinal (Janessa Boucher); girlfriend of 5 years: Keyanna Ballantyne; parents: Marilyn Whitford & Russell Cardinal; brothers: Levi, Francis, Darcy, Jordan; maternal grandparents: Suzie Whitford & Papa John; paternal grandparents: Syles & Rowenna Cardinal; aunties: Tracy, Jennifer, Susie-Anne, Sheila, Carmen; uncles: Hector, Jason, Vance; special cousins: Orrin, Nicholas, Dawson, Johnny, Jade, Byron, Shaylee-Lyne, Shanyese Whitford, Kirklind Cardinal, Caitlin Brereton; nieces & nephews: Loyal, Kingsten, Tamea, Kade, Kendra, Quinlee, Luke; special nieces: Tierra, Sophia; as well as many cousins, family and friends.

He will be going in to the arms of his sister: Jody-Lynn Cardinal; grandparents: Judy Sound, Allan Whitford; auntie: Judyann Sound; nephew: Baby Jase.

Rorey will be going home to the Kikino Metis Settlement on Sunday, March 29, 2026, leaving Mission View Funeral Chapel at 9:30 a.m.

Evening prayer service will be on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at the Kikino Metis Settlement Hall.

Funeral service will be on Monday, March 30, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the Kikino Metis Settlement Hall.

Father Anselmo Landoy will be officiating.

His final resting place will be at the Kikino Metis Cemetery.
