With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Ryan, a man whose quiet strength, curiosity, and love for adventure touched so many. At 44, he leaves behind a life filled with stories from mud bogs, mountain rides, dirt bikes, mini bikes, and the many projects that kept his hands busy and his mind moving.
Ryan built a strong career as an electrician, creating his own business through hard work and skill. He loved experimenting and bringing ideas to life; from drones and 3-D printing to the legendary potato gun that will forever bring a smile to those who remember it.
He was known for his calm presence, his genuine nature, and the easy way he connected with people. Ryan was a father to three boys, who carry forward pieces of his creativity, curiosity, and adventurous spirit.
Ryan will be always be remembered by his loving family. Sons: Wyatt Kozakevich, Walter Kozakevich, Norman Kozakevich (and their mother, Katrina); parents: Wanda & Dennis Kozakevich; sister: Kristen (Travis) Skoreyko; nephews: Trace, Talen, Tatum; uncles: Edward (Cherney) Kozakevich, David (Lorraine) Kozakevich, Norman Kozakevich, Jim Kurasevich, Doug (Candis) Kurasevich; aunt: Dianna (Leonard) Tkachyk; as well as many cousins, and other family members and friends too many to mention.
Ryan was predeceased by his maternal grandparents: Walter & Gladys Kurasevich; paternal grandparents: John & Annie Kozakevich.
Service of Remembrance, Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 11:00 a.m., Lakeland Agricom, 13412 Hwy 881, Lac La Biche, Alberta. Pastor Emmanuel Chiwele will be officiating.
He will be deeply missed by family, friends, and all who shared time with him. His spark, his heart, and his way of moving through the world will never be forgotten.
