Sonny (Emile) Dolphus Cadieux

With saddened hearts, the family of Sonny (Emile) Cadieux of Grandin, Alberta, announces the passing of their beloved brother, uncle and friend on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at the age of 82 years, in Lac La Biche, Alberta.

He will be remembered for love he had for farm life. From raising cattle to snuggling his favourite cat, he was a hard working and animal loving kind of guy. Horses, poodles and John Deere tractors is what he enjoyed the most out of life. And maybe some chocolate and cheezies from time to time.  

Leaving to mourn with a beautiful life of memories is his sister: Georgina (George) Yakoweshyn; and numerous nieces, nephews, family & friends.  

Sonny is predeceased by his wife: Gloria Cadieux; parents: Emile & Vanessa Cadieux; sisters: Marylou (Norman) Grammer, Emeline Cadieux, Gay (Eli) Yakoweshen; nephew: Bryan Yakoweshyn.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 16, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. at Mission View Funeral Chapel, 133 Sentinel Drive, Lac La Biche, Alberta. Graveside service will be held immediately following at the Evangelical Free Church Cemetery, Lac La Biche, Alberta. Pastor Timothy McClintic will be officiating.

Pallbearers: Winston Yakoweshen, Travis Yakoweshyn, Shane Yakoweshen, Skye Yakoweshen, Daley Yakoweshen, Dan Mischuk, Don Steele.
