Stanley Leonard White

With overwhelming sadness, the family of Stanley Leonard White announces his unexpected passing on August 31, 2025, at Heart Lake First Nation, Alberta, at the age of 77 years.

Leaving to mourn with cherished memories are his children: Clayton (Lisa) Calliou, Sydney (Nicole) Calliou, Marie (Curtis) Calliou, Erin (Ryan) Calliou-Houle; special children: Christina (Kenneth) Calliou, Alyson (Dwayne) Cardinal, Josie Cardinal; grandchildren: Orrin, Kendal, Amber, Carson, Kyle, Alexa; special grandchildren: Allysa, Tamara, Leland, Alex, Emett, Sawyer; great-grandchildren: Ryder, Chevy, Westy-Bear, Aviana, Hexin; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Predeceased by his wife: Diane Calliou; sons: Joseph Callou, Kyle Leonard Calliou; granddaughters: Marlee Collins, Amy Calliou; grandbaby: baby Calliou; special grandsons: Preston Fox, Curtis Nicols; brothers: Alex, David, Harry; sisters: Mable, Ilene, Jean Rabbit; parents: Philomena & Wilfred White; uncle: Jim Arcand; in-laws: Helen & Clifford Calliou; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, grandparents and family. 

A wake will be held at the Kikino Metis Settlement on Thursday, September 4, 2025, leaving Mission View Funeral Chapel, Lac La Biche, Alberta, at 12:00 p.m.  

Prayer service will be on Friday, September 5, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at the Kikino Metis Settlement Community Centre, Kikino, Alberta, with Father Landoy officiating.

Funeral service will be on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the Kikino Metis Settlement Community Centre, Kikino, Alberta, with burial to follow at the Kikino Community Cemetery, with Father Adrian officiating. 

Pallbearers: Clayton Calliou, Sydney Calliou, Erin Calliou-Houle, Curtis Monias, Ryan Houle, Kyle J Calliou, Orrin Calliou, Mike White.
