Stella Scott

It is with warm memories for a life well lived that the family of Stella Scott of Lac La Biche, Alberta announce her passing on October 31, 2024 at the age of 89 years.

Stella will most likely be remembered for her unmatched generosity, her thoughtfulness and her amazing attitude.

She will forever be in the hearts of her loved ones:  son, Gary Lachowich; sister, Mary Tymko; “special friend” and biological daughter, Mischa Welch & her children, Kamryn, Konnor & Kiara Kirwan; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. 

Stella was predeceased by her common-law partner, Andy Nicholson; parents, Michael and Tekla Lachowich; brothers, John (Jean) Lachowich & Ernest (Shirley) Lachowich; sister, Ann Jorginson; brother-in-law, Al Tymko; nephews, Daniel Lachowich & Mick Lachowich; niece, Victoria Tymko; nephews-in-law, Ken O’Hara and Eric Tegg; and, great-nephew, Jonathan Harkins.

A Celebration of Remembrance will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Catherine's Catholic Church, 10303 Churchill Drive, Lac La Biche. Reverend Father Mark Sych will officiate with inurnment in Willow Park Cemetery.

Honourary Pallbearers:  All her family and friends that were near and dear to her heart.

Following the service, the family invites you to join them for lunch at the Heritage Centre, 10112 – 102 Avenue..
