Walter is survived by his loving wife: Bertha Cardinal; children: Alvin Quintal, Joyce Quintal, Chuck (Jenny) Quintal, Sonia Quintal; mother of his children: Irene Lavallee; grandchildren: Derek Kreutzer, Wesley Quintal, Jenny Rideout, Shealyn McGale, Evan Quintal, Ricky Quintal, Jarred Quintal, Gabriel Quintal; great grandchildren: Jaden Pearson, Kaylee Flemming, Knox Kreutzer, Nayeli Kreutzer; stepchildren: Tammy Cardinal, Jach Cardinal, Marcia Harris; step grandchildren: Keenan Cardinal, Briden Cardinal, Draven Cardinal, Nathanial Major, Shayla Rae Major, Coral-lee Major, Shylit-Rae Cardinal, Seanna Cardinal, Anisha Cardinal, Jach Jr. Cardinal, Keeven Cardinal, Samantha Cardinal, Gabrielle Cardinal, Ethan Cardinal; brothers: Pat Quintal, Larry Gladue; sister: Delia Quintal.
Walter is predeceased by his mom: Adeline (Quintal) Gladue; dad: Isidore Quintal; stepdad: Jerome “Slim” Gladue; son: Rick Quintal; stepson: Lenny Cardinal; Stepdaughter: Carla Cardinal; brothers: Jimmy Quintal, Eugene Quintal, Sybil Quintal, Archie Quintal, Alfred Gladue, Mike (Mugler) Quintal; sisters: Sarah Tremblay, Lucy Gladue, Annie Desjarlais.
