Walter Ernest Stratichuk

It is with saddened hearts that the family of Walter Ernest Stratichuk announce the passing of their beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at the age of 89 years, in Lac La Biche, Alberta.

Walter will be remembered by his beloved wife of 68 years, Stephania Stratichuk; his children: Brenda Molofy (Tim), Dennis Stratichuk; his grandchildren: Ryan (Jenelle) Molofy, Katrina (Farron) Mamela, Devin Molofy, Amie (Kyle) Beniuk; great-grandchildren: Kagen, Amira, Henley, Reid, Aaron, Oliver; special family member Sheryl Davis; brother: Albert (Iris) Stratichuk sisters: Emily (Abraham) Towes, Edna McFaull and Carol (Merv) Gerber; as well as many extended family and friends.

Walter was predeceased by his parents: Konstantine (Harry) and Raina Stratichuk; son: Garry Stratichuk; sisters: Grace Kokoski, Lorraine Madson; brothers: Edwin Stratichuk, Wayne Stratichuk; special nephew, Dean Pederson.

Pallbearers: Ryan Molofy, Devin Molofy, Katrina Mamela, Farron Mamela, Amie Beniuk, Kyle Beniuk.

Honorary Pallbearers: Jenelle Molofy, Kagan Mamela, Amira Mamela, Henley Beniuk, Reid Beniuk, Aaron Molofy, Oliver Molofy.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
