Dear Millie and Family, Laura and I are so sorry to hear of Bernie's passing. Our deepest condolences to all of you. Bernie was a great man who I will always remember and admire as my District Manager and friend. During the 80's I worked with Bernie in Fort Liard and Fort Simpson. He was a great role model who was a very dedicated, professional person who truly cared for the forests, environment, and people of the NWT. His kindness, laughter, and devotion to his family as well as his employees, will always be remembered. Also, I can fondly recall many hours fishing, hunting, and playing bridge with him. Sincere regards.

Millie,,Joscyline and family; We were sad to hear of Bernies's passing. We fondly remember Bernie from our days in Fort Liard and in Yellowknife. A quick story ( one of many) Bernie came down to Ft Liard from Ft Simpson so Lise prepared a roast for dinner only to have the power fail The roast was rare to Lise's dismay but not to Bernie's! Take care our thoughts are wit you

I was very saddened to hear of the passing of Bernie, I worked with him for many years at the Department of Indian Affairs and Northern Development from the 1980s 10 late 1990's . He was our District Manager in Fort Simpson, NT.

Bernie was a very kind man, and always had a great smile on his face, He had the best loudest laugh ever. We could laugh at almost anything we talked about. We sure missed him when he retired because he knew is job very well, and a lot of experience and knowledge went to retirementville with him.

To this day, at times I still run across some of the inspections and memo's he has written, and sometimes those memos were written the way Bernie would say it. Straight and to the point, if you get what I mean. I have many laughs still when I read them, silently saying "Right on Bernie"

I fondly remember the beautiful art work he use to create with the Rough Grouse feathers, and in fact my father and Sister Annette, still have a piece of that artwork from him.

Rest in Peace my friend, you were a great man and awesome co-worker.

Thinking of you Millie and family with our sincere condolences. Recall fondly back to Fort Smith days and the many Limoges reunions how Bernie brought to small and larger gatherings an energy and enthusiasm which we were all so fortunate to enjoy. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Millie & family,

I was very sorry to hear of Bernie's passing. I used to love playing cribbage with him on our coffee breaks during the Norman Wells pipeline construction years, when Bernie was working in the Lands office in Yellowknife.. Every time Bernie had a good hand, he would always say "slicker than the hair on a rooster's lip!" I used to get a kick out of that. It was a great pleasure working with and for Bernie. You are in my thoughts and prayers. With Love xoxoxo
